Starkey Mortgage in Charleston Supports Toys for Tots

Nov. 17, 2012 - PRLog -- The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November, and December each year and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.

Due to the overwhelming donation of toys last year, Starkey Mortgage's Charleston branch is again volunteering to serve as a Toys for Tots drop off location for the second straight year. Last year, people in our community filled over 10 boxes with toys.  This year, we are hoping to collect 20 boxes of toys with help from local businesses across the Charleston tri-county area. Some of those businesses offering to help collect toys are Keller Williams on Bramson Court, Carolina One Real Estate on Hwy 17 North, The Cassina Group on Coleman Boulevard, Montclair Townhomes and Condo Community, and Harvey & Vallini, LLP, all in Mount Pleasant; Carolina Elite Real Estate on Montague Avenue, Re/Max on University Boulevard, and Weeks & Irvine, all in North Charleston; Chucktown Homes on Tobias Gadson Boulevard, Marshall Walker Realty on Rutledge Avenue, Dan Ryan Builders, and Sabal Homes, all in the tri-county area of Charleston.

While the Marines coordinate and manage the program, the Foundation’s success depends on the support of the local community and the generosity of people who donate toys.
