Nov. 19, 2012 - PRLog -- Argon Electronics (http://www.argonelectronics.com/) has completed delivery of a variety of CBRN training simulators for the Swedish Armed Forces.  The contract included AP2C-SIM (http://www.argonelectronics.com/products/chemical-simulators/ap2c-sim/), S4PE-SIM (http://www.argonelectronics.com/products/chemical-simulators/s4pe-sim/), and LCD3.2e-SIM (http://www.argonelectronics.com/products/chemical-simulators/lcd3-2e-sim/) simulators and also a number of Argon’s PlumeSIM (http://www.argonelectronics.com/products/plumesim/)instrumented CBRN training systems for deployment with the simulators at a number of locations for use by the Swedish Armed Forces.

The contract award follows the successful implementation of Argon simulators at the Swedish Armed Forces CBRN school in Umea in 2008.  The new contract, which included the upgrade of the original simulators to function with PlumeSIM, included an extremely tight deadline so that the upgraded equipment could be deployed at RECCEX-12, a multinational CBRN exercise hosted by the Swedish Armed forces.

“This contract demonstrates how effectively our simulators can contribute towards an organisation’s CBRN training,” said Steven Pike, Managing Director of Argon Electronics. “It also validates our strategy of ensuring that simulators previously delivered a number of years ago can be upgraded to function with PlumeSIM to provide a truly comprehensive CBRN simulation capability.”

In excess of 50 Argon simulators were used for the RECCEX-12 exercises, which took place over two days on the 22nd and 23rd of August.  The exercises were witnessed by the Swedish Military Procurement representatives and visiting defence attaches, who saw first-hand how the operational flexibility of equipment from Argon Electronics enhances CBRN training exercises and therefore the capability to counter CBRN incidents.
