Boom Mat Invites Competitors to Participate in Team Boom Mat in 2013

Nov. 27, 2012 - PRLog -- Avon Lake, OH  (November 27, 2012) – Design Engineering, Inc. (http://www.designengineering.com/)® (DEI), a leader in the supply of thermal tuning products, and Boom Mat (http://www.designengineering.com/catalog/boom-mat-acoustical-products)™, DEI’s sound deadening and acoustic control division, are showing their support of MECA with dual membership and sponsorship.  Boom Mat also is proud to announce the formation of Team Boom Mat for MECA competition in 2013.

The Mobile Electronics Competition Association (MECA) (http://www.mecacaraudio.com/) is an international grassroots audio trade association headquartered in Goodlettsville, TN that produces 130 audio competitions in over 30 states in addition to other special events. Competition is based on achieving either the highest certified score in Sound Pressure or the highest certified score in Sound Quality with competitions ranked as single, double, or triple point events. The MECA World Finals are hosted annually in Nashville, TN in October.

BOOM MAT acoustical products, as demonstrated on Spike TVs popular cable shows “Search & Restore” and “Trucks,”  are developed to be used singularly or collectively to provide the highest potential sound quality or the loudest most impressive bass sound pressure; ideal for MECA competition. All Boom Mat products are developed for vibration damping, sound barriers, sound absorption and thermal insulation for better stereo sound quality and a quiet, cool interior. Full details of the whole Boom Mat product line are available in their new 16 page catalog. A sampling of Boom Mat products that can be used for MECA competition include:

·       Boom Mat Speaker Baffles (http://www.designengineering.com/category/catalog/boom-ma...) - available in 16 different sizes these baffles are designed to isolate frequency response while damping reverberation that can occur in sheet metal or in panel to frame resonance.

·       Moldable Noise Barrier (http://www.designengineering.com/category/catalog/boom-ma...) – a heat gun moldable acoustical noise barrier that easily conforms to the shape of the floor pan.

·       Boom Mat Heavy Duty Damping Material (http://www.designengineering.com/category/catalog/boom-ma...) – Protects against vibration in large flat metal areas without complex contours, this damping material offers a paintable textured finish for team logos.

·        Under (http://www.designengineering.com/category/catalog/boom-mat-acoustical-products/speaker-baffles) Carpet (http://www.designengineering.com/category/catalog/boom-mat-acoustical-products/speaker-baffles) - A one pound per square foot mass loaded vinyl sound barrier with a marine grade open cell foam decoupling layer.
