EduSkill launches Microsoft Office Specialist competition in top Delhi schools

Dec. 12, 2012 - PRLog -- Gabss EduSkill Ltd, popularly known as EduSkill, is organizing an Intra-School competition on Microsoft Office Specialist certifications in secondary and higher secondary schools across Delhi & NCR and a few schools in Hyderabad. The event, OFFICECHAMP Certification Competition, is to be held within the premises of each participating school between 17th and 21st December 2012.
15 students, chosen by the school, participate and compete with each other on Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint with 5 students competing in each application. Winners, for each application, are decided on the basis of their scores and time taken to complete the exam. For this, the students are given training material, a practice software is installed in the school lab and teachers are given orientation on how to facilitate students for the competition. The orientation of teachers and students will be held between 3rd and 7th December, 2012 and the competition between 17th and 21st December, 2012.
All passing students are certified directly by Microsoft as Microsoft Office Specialist and the winner is awarded the prize by EduSkill. Microsoft Office Specialist is a performance based exam which evaluates the candidate’s ability to apply his knowledge of the software to perform popular professional tasks. This certification aims to enhance general efficiency and knowledge of some of the powerful tools of these applications.
