RBD Ventures Partnering With Toys For Tots, San Diego Food Bank

RBD Ventures, a residential redevelopment company based in San Diego County, is showing its appreciation for the local community this season by partnering with Toys For Tots and the San Diego Food Bank for charity drives.

RBD currently has donation bins at their office in La Mesa that will go directly to the two charities when their holiday drives are completed on December 14. RBD has already donated 10 bicycles for Toys For Tots, and has two bins full of canned goods for the San Diego Food Bank.

“Needless to say, it is the least we can do,” said Brian Kendrick, co-founder of RBD Ventures. “There are so many children in San Diego who don’t even know where their next meal is coming from or if they will be receiving gifts like many of their peers this holiday season.

“We are just doing our part to try and make a difference and put smiles on faces and food in the bellies of those who need it.”

According to the San Diego Food Bank website, “More than 446,000 people live below the poverty level in San Diego County. That equates to a household income of less than $10,890 for an individual and $22,350 for a family of four. These individuals face “food insecurity” which means that little or no food is available at home and they do not always know where they will find their next meal.”

According to the Toys For Tots website, the objective “is to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future.”

The company, which focuses on buying, renovating and selling homes, has expanded quite a bit since its inception in November 2009. Since then, RBD Ventures has sold over $29 million in residential real estate.
