VideoCentric become 1st UK integrator able to demonstrate Polycom’s new RealPresence Group Series

Dec. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- The UK’s leading Video Conferencing solutions integrator, VideoCentric, has today installed the new Polycom RealPresence Group Series into its demonstration and interoperability suites in Reading so that customers can now see first-hand, the new systems in action, whilst being able to compare quality, features and interoperability with similar systems from all the worlds’ leading manufacturers

With systems also located at its city centre demonstration facilities in Edinburgh and London, VideoCentric has the capability of showing Polycom’s “High Profile” 720P-HD video at just 512kbps over DSL Internet connections as well as showing full 1080P at speeds of 1Mbps and higher over its new 100Mbps connections.

VideoCentric is stressing that the new RP Group Series does not replace the ever popular HDX series which will remain in-situ for demonstration and comparison and yesterday upgraded all its HDXs with the new HDX 3.1 software release offering enhanced features , improved collaboration and increased security.

For customers who haven’t yet upgraded from legacy Polycom systems such as VSX and Viewstation, they can visit VideoCentric’s facility to see how their old systems compare with HDX and Real Presence and to ensure that any phased transition between the two can be managed and supported. Complete integration with VideoCloud means that the new RP group series can be added as part of a larger visual communications solution including Microsoft Lync, Skype, M100, RealPresence Mobile for iPads and iPhones as well as 2-way data collaboration with SMARTBoards and other touch controlled devices.
