Follow on Google News | ![]() "I Talk Slower Than I Think" is Faring Well in The Writer's Got Talent ContestHumorist C. D. Bonner's Southern family humor book of coming of age tales is faring very well in the international The Writer's Got Talent competition--despite being two vampires and a zombie short by today's marketing standards.
The intense elimination contest is organized into seven Challenges, from producing an enticing book cover and convincing synopsis to meeting the public through a Youtube book trailer. Authors learn how to best link social media and how to prepare a professional press release for the traditional media. Authors must perform, and perform on schedule. Authors will be eliminated after each challenge until a single winner emerges to claim the prize. Many authors are offering free books or setting reduced prices to stir reader interest in the contest and in their books, which represent a wide spectrum of genres. Anyone can vote in the Challenges of this contest, and the litmus test for the writers is how well they can persuade friends and fans to vote for their book on the contest site. This week's Challenge includes gathering votes for the best video trailer, best book cover, and the most viewed press release. C. D. Bonner's book is titled, "I Talk Slower Than I Think: an Antidote to Helicopter Parenting." Readers can vote and view the book trailers, book covers, and book descriptions on the contest page: http://www.WritersGotTalent.com/ End
