Jan. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- LINDON, UTAH – AccessData, a pioneer of digital investigations and litigation support, today announces that 451 Research has released an Impact Report on its e-discovery offerings.  451 Research is a division of leading global analyst and data company, The 451 Group, which focuses on the business of enterprise IT innovation.  The report, “AccessData Enters 2013 with Streamlined Summation and Mobile Moves for e-Discovery,” is available at

According to the report by analyst David Horrigan, “…the biggest news about AD eDiscovery is the integration of Summation into it, allowing the platform to service virtually the entire EDRM, complementing its legal hold, collection and early case assessment/early data assessment (ECA/EDA) capabilities.”  The report adds that, “there are real advantages to getting a review platform from your data forensics provider,” and states that “AccessData’s three-pronged offerings of litigation support, data forensics and cyber security position the company well as ‘big data’ becomes a big issue in e-discovery.”

Summation will continue to be offered as a stand-alone application to firms and organizations large and small as well as a fully integrated part of the AD eDiscovery product.

“We believe the 451 Research report is an insightful summary of the solutions we offer to the legal market and how we differentiate from our competitors – especially in the areas of integration and mobile device e-discovery. We look forward to demonstrating these product and abilities to the attendees at LegalTech New York,” stated Caitlin Murphy, Director of Legal Marketing at AccessData. “We are very happy with the successful integration of Summation into our AD eDiscovery platform.  We also look forward to seeing MPE+ take hold in the market as corporations realize the need to look at the data stored on mobile devices when faced with litigation.”

By integrating its market leading collection and early case assessment features with the advanced final review functionality of Summation, AD eDiscovery now covers the entire e-discovery lifecycle from Litigation Hold to Final Review & Production, and everything in between, in one efficient platform.

Summation is a web-based document, data and transcript review platform that accommodates the workflows of contemporary legal teams while running on the powerful - and proven - AccessData technology core. It is now a part of the AD eDiscovery platform and also remains available as a stand-alone product.

MPE+ is designed specifically to allow users to easily collect and view the data that is stored on mobile devices and supports more than 6,800 of these - including iPhone, iPad, iPod, Android and BlackBerry. MPE+ executes a full forensic level capture and can collect deleted items and all appropriate metadata on select devices. MPE+ exports data in an AD1 file which can be imported to AD eDiscovery or Summation.
