By: Media Zoo Backed by leading associations including the National Association of Primary Care, the NHS Alliance, the UK Home Care Association and the English Community Care Association, Health+Care will consist of four interrelated conferences bringing together both primary and social care. The event will be held at London ExCeL from June 12-13 and is set to be attended by leading figures from across the healthcare sector. Ralph Collett, Director of Health+Care, says the innovative event structure reflects the changing nature of healthcare. “Health+Care is an important event for the diary of everyone working in healthcare. Recent Government legislation has thrown down the gauntlet for health and care professionals to provide better and more cost efficient integrated healthcare solutions,” says Mr Collett. “Health+Care will be a landmark forum for the future of healthcare. It addresses the important question of how policymakers, GPs and social care providers can work together in a more holistic manner” he says. The four conferences that make up Health+Care are the Health+Care Integration Conference, The Home Care Show, The Residential Care Show and the already influential Commissioning Show. Bringing the four conferences together into one event will help a wider spectrum of professionals to interpret policy, devise strategy and implement change. The combined event will feature talks from the most senior players in health, social care, government and the third sector as well as highlighting the patient experience. Mike Broad, Director of Programming at Health+Care and editor of Hospital Dr says Health+Care 2013 is already attracting an impressive lineup of speakers from across government and the healthcare sector. “Our speaker programme is jam-packed with leaders from across the health and social care arena because they appreciate that in these challenging times we've got to do more with less. More integrated care holds the answers - as recently recognised by our political leaders,” says Mr Broad. “No other event has a chance of getting all the decision makers required to deliver greater integration in the same room.
