Just Smitten by Bum-Cake Vintage

March 8, 2013 - PRLog -- After successfully launching the Lady collection (Bum-Cake's first vintage jewelry collection) back in October 2012, Bum-Cake Vintage is now ready to launch the Smitten collection, a mini spring-like collection of vintage clothing, jewelry, and accessories. The collection will be available for purchase online starting Monday, March 11th and available for purchase in person at the Built in Brooklyn Craft Fair on March 23rd in Brooklyn, NY.

Bum-Cake's newest collection includes dresses, jewelry, and accessories from the 1950's through the early 1990's. Another collection inspired by feminism, but also by love—not necessarily being in love with another person, but in love with one's self. It's about empowering women and allowing them to feel beautiful and confident. In this collection, Jamil Smith, the mastermind behind the imagery of the shoot, was able to capture just that essence and more. All pieces from the collection are somewhat transitional spring pieces—they can be worn now through spring/summer. The nighties in the collection can also be worn as cute party dresses and are not just bedroom exclusive.

The Smitten collection has great femme pieces that are perfect for the spring. Each piece is lightweight, which is nice for mildly warm weather. The palette of the collection is mainly neutral (including the printed pieces) with subtle details that encourage you to 'spring' forward in style this season. The prices range from $10-$65. Each piece can take you from day-to-night, making it the ultimate dynamic collection for spring.
