By: Kathy Krantz Stewart -Publicist The Cross of Presaria tells the story of prince who sets out to find his missing younger brother after a witch abducts him and puts a curse on the kingdom. The curse comes in the form of a deadly and powerful night beast that preys on the villages of the kingdom. The prince joins forces with a sorcerer and his daughter who have had a recent encounter with the witch. The witch appeared at the sorcerer's cottage and slipped a potion into his tea that rendered him unconscious and enabled her to steal his magical bracelet. This bracelet greatly increased her powers and makes her a grave threat to the kingdom. The three heroes pursue the night beast and then journey to the witch's fortress for a fierce confrontation that results in the death of the witch and the tragic demise of the prince's younger brother. The dark forces that set the witch on her journey enter her brother and steer him on a path of revenge. The prince's mother is cursed and begins slowly turning to stone from the feet up. She has only eight days to live before the curse turns her completely to stone. There is no aura to be read on the curse but clues lead the three heroes to the kingdom of Rimora to search for answers. They hope to find the person responsible for delivering the curse and then return to Presaria to save the queen. After these two tragic events, the sorcerer's daughter is invited to test for her magical bracelet by The Society of the Owl of which her father is a member. Its mission is to preserve peace and fight evil as it arises in the kingdom. We learn about the Society of the Owl, the magical bracelet and the testing of sorcerer applicants. The dark forces have entered the souls of two other applicants invited to test. The story culminates with a final confrontation of the three heroes and the dark forces of evil.
