Manhattan Lawyer files Amended Complaint on Behalf of Client Alleging False Arrest

March 8, 2013 - PRLog -- The Amended Complaint filed in Federal Court seeks compensation for damages suffered by the Plainitff, Maceo Scott. According to the Amended Complaint, Mr. Scott suffered an unlawful detention, emotional distress, fear, anxiety, humiliation and damage to his reputation as a result of his arrest, which the Amended Complaint states was false and malicious.

According to Maceo Scott's attorney, Michael J. Redenburg, causes of action contained within the Amended Complaint include:

• False Arrest / False Imprisonment

• Denial of a Fair Trial

• Malicious Prosecution

• Failure to Intervene

The Amended Complaint alleges that after Mr. Scott was falsely arrested, he was required to attend Criminal Court well over ten times, over the course of one year and six months, defending himself against false criminal charges that had been lodged agianst him. The Complaint goes on to allege that it was not until after a pre-trial suppression hearing in Criminal Court, that the false criminal charges against Mr. Scott were dismissed and sealed.

This lawsuit followed.
