New Online Directory Showcases Local Contractors

Rebuild New Jersey connects local homeowners and business owners with reliable, licensed contractors to rebuild in the aftermath of Sandy.

MANASQUAN, N.J. - March 12, 2013 - PRLog -- Along the Jersey Shore, homeowners and business owners have only just begun the rebuilding process to repair the damages inflicted by Superstorm Sandy. New codes and regulations are being released every week and contractors are busier than they have ever been.  Homes and businesses, however, are still feeling their way around in the dark trying to figure out how to get back to normal as soon as possible.

Joseph Hughes, founder of Brielle-based Rebuild New Jersey, has a solution to sort through the chaos and find reliable information and contractors in order to begin the rebuilding process.  The solution is in the form of an online directory for builders and contractors along the Jersey Shore.

Joseph explains the motivation behind developing Rebuild New Jersey:  "There is so much information out there, and more being released daily, but it is extremely fragmented and difficult to find.  Homeowners and business owners have no idea where to find the reliable information to get started with their repairs.  Rebuild New Jersey serves as a platform for aggregating this information and presenting it in a useful format for homes and businesses."

Once people have the correct information in hand, which they can find at http://rebuildnewjersey.com/resources, the next step is contacting the people that can help them.  There are hundreds of contractors, insurance agencies, adjusters, lawyers, and banks who are involved with rebuilding New Jersey, but again, there has not yet been a single hub for people to research and contact them - until now.

"There are hundreds, if not thousands, of contractors in our area who do great work.  The problem is that, besides a couple lawn signs and an ad in a trade magazine, it's difficult for homes and businesses to find them.  Rebuild New Jersey is a directory for hundreds of contractors and ancillary businesses all under one roof.  Homeowners can come on to our site, look at contractor profiles, including photos and reviews, and contact contractors directly to get started.  It's really the simplest solution we could think of to connect one group with the other," Joseph explains.

Rebuild New Jersey is simple, and free, for everyone to use.  After registering on the website, contractors build their own profiles that include their contact information, business description, up to 5 showcase photos, and links to their website and social networks.  The entire process takes about 10 minutes.  Each contractor profile is manually reviewed by the Rebuild New Jersey team to ensure integrity and compliance with the posting guidelines.  After a contractor profile is approved and published, the contractor can share the link with his or her contacts.

Homeowners and business owners can go on to Rebuild New Jersey, also for free, to search for contractors by name, trade, and location.  They can leave reviews for contractors they know, and they can contact contractors directly on the website or by clicking through to their contact information.

Joe Baccellieri of LevMax Contracting in Middletown, NJ is one contractor who has really embraced Rebuild New Jersey by adding project photos and asking his previous clients to leave reviews. Baccellieri remarked, "Once again, thank you for the opportunity to be a part of this. The site looks great, better than I had imagined, and I think it will bring a lot of good people together."

Mr. Hughes added, "The positive feedback that we have received so far has been overwhelming.  It seems that we've really hit on a nerve with both contractors and homes and businesses in this area who have been searching for a resource like this.  We are adding new contractors and new information to the website every day.  We're humbled by the response and we are excited help in any small way to get the Jersey Shore back on its feet."

Contractors can visit http://rebuildnewjersey.com to sign up and build their free profile immediately.
