EnVoyage Perfumes Unveils Educational Exhibit at Artisan Perfume Salon in San Francisco

SAN JOSE, Calif. - March 16, 2013 - PRLog -- Today En Voyage Perfumes announced the upcoming special interactive exhibit, “A Journey into Nature”.  This carefully hand-curated educational display illustrates the alchemy of how a single plant becomes the central fragrance of an award-winning perfume.

The concept of a journey or expedition of discovery is central to each En Voyage Perfume.  For example, their award-winning Go Ask Alice was inspired by Lewis Caroll’s whimsical and fantastical Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland; and Vents Ardents, another EnVoyage award-winning perfume, rides a salty Caribbean breeze via historical trade ship.  This latest EnVoyage expedition, “A Journey into Nature” sets out on the first expedition to travel the entire end-to-end route of ten rare plants into perfumes in a single journey.

Take Agarwood or Oudh, a dark, resinous heartwood found in the far East:   Rare and exotic, it is coveted for the unique fragrance it imparts to perfume.  In this exhibit, viewers can see the natural appearance of the wood.  Then, using a glass smelling device known as a monclin, they are able to smell the perfume featuring this exquisite oil for themselves.

“A Journey into Nature” follows ten fragrant botanicals and their corresponding perfumes, including the Black Currant buds (also known as Cassis) that are featured in Tagetes femme.  The trail follows other unusual botanicals such as muguet (lily-of-the-valley), patchouli, cactus flowers, and marigolds.  Each corresponding perfume selected for the exhibit is from the collection of EnVoyage Perfumes’ award-winners and best-sellers.

Perfumes and Samples Collections are available for purchase during the exhibit.
