Licensed Artist Alex Colombo Launches studio•Alex & Debuts Her New Collections at Surtex Booth 446

SAN FRANCISCO - March 17, 2013 - PRLog -- (San Francisco Bay Area) - Artist Alex Colombo is delighted to debut her vivacious, hand-drawn/painted collections at the Surtex licensing show,  BOOTH 446, on May 19-21, 2013 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

Her art is unique and conveys a joy and warmth; it is inspired by her upbringing around the alpine and mediterranean areas of Europe as well as her contact with different cultures and people she has met while traveling around the world - her whimsical artwork has a unique twist of American and European flair artfully blending the best of both worlds.

"Hand-painting is not perfect and the imperfection adds to its appeal", Alex says. In fact she likes to fuse natural, organic and primitive patterns to create contemporary decorative designs and illustrations; lots of dots are her signature style. Whether her work is created digitally or by hand, her colorful illustrations and drawings convey her love of life.

Florals, Gardens, Southwest, Seaside, Children's Art and Holiday are some of the themes that will be featured at the show for use on Paper Goods, Home Furnishings, Home Decor, Gifts, Fabrics and more!
