Videon to Distribute Intel CE 5300 Development Platforms

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - March 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Videon Central, Inc. (Videon), a leading supplier of streaming media technology and an Intel Capital portfolio company will be the authorized distributor of the Intel® Media Server Reference Design.  Videon is also a software solution provider and system integration partner for this platform designed for application development on the Intel® Atom™ processor CE5300, a system-on-chip (SoC) built on Intel® architecture and specifically targeted for IPTV, hybrid set top box and gateway devices.

The Intel Media Server Reference Design (MSRD) is a developer hardware platform that comes with the BSP, SDK and essential tools needed to implement, test and validate the system.  Additionally, Videon will offer optional reference software based on the aVia Media Player that can be utilized as the baseline application software for media playback, management and sharing.

The platform is a small-form factor box and includes the dual-core SoC, dedicated 2D and 3D Graphics and 2GB of DDRIII SDRAM.  The development system kit includes the hardware platform, a power supply with power cable (100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz), IR remote control, HDMI cable and USB2 UART cable.

Videon has an abundance of Intel Atom CE5300 processor-based system knowledge, application and driver-level software expertise.  Videon will provide technical support for both the hardware and software components and is available for value-added services such as engineering design, customizations and validation testing services.
