Morgan & Morgan Announces MetroPCS Overtime Lawsuit On Behalf of Account Service Reps

MetroPCS Overtime Lawsuit filed on behalf of Account Service Representatives (ASRs) seeking unpaid overtime wages under the federal FLSA and NYLL. ASRs seek to proceed as class action.

TAMPA, Fla. - March 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Palma, et al. v. MetroPCS Wireless, Inc., a lawsuit involving allegations of unpaid overtime wages and violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the New York Labor Law (NYLL), has been filed as a collective/class action in federal court in Florida.  The Plaintiffs in this action, represented by Andrew Frisch of Morgan & Morgan, are Account Services Representatives (ASRs) who claim that they did not receive proper overtime compensation for overtime hours worked.

Palma v. MetroPCS Wireless, Inc.,  (Case Number: 8:13-cv-00698-VMC-MAP) was filed in the Middle District of Florida.  The presiding judge is Judge Virginia M. Covington.

In this putative collective/class action lawsuit, the Account Service Representatives allege that MetroPCS violated, and continues to violate, the Fair Labor Standards Act and the New York Labor Law by failing to properly compensate them for overtime hours worked.

Morgan and Morgan overtime attorney Andrew R. Frisch is representing the ASRs in an effort to recover unpaid wages for the overtime work they performed, but for which they did not receive the proper overtime pay.  According to a federal law known as the FLSA, non-exempt employees are entitled to time-and-a-half pay for all hours worked over forty in a given workweek.   New York’s Labor Law has similar provisions.

All unpaid overtime claims filed by Account Service Representatives who currently work for MetroPCS, or who worked for MetroPCS within the last three (3) years anywhere in the United States, OR who worked for MetroPCS within the last six (6) years in New York, and who were not paid proper overtime are eligible to join the case.  For more information about Palma v.
