Administrative Professionals Week April 21-27

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. - April 9, 2013 - PRLog -- When Melissa St. Clair, Owner of Paper Chaser, wanted to launch a business she had first-hand knowledge of the unique challenges of frequent moves and the distinct demands on time for military spouses. She drew on her background as an executive assistant, office manager, and community organizer and the innovations of the internet and married the two to establish a portable career as Virtual Assistant.

“I was inspired by the energy and spirit of the business owners I encountered at the local Chamber of Commerce and had a strong desire to be my own boss,” said Melissa St. Clair.

As a female entrepreneur and Marine Corps spouse, Melissa St. Clair knows the importance of a diverse and vibrant network and seeks out opportunities to interact with other like-minded professionals either in-person through business groups or online and has established strong affiliations. St. Clair finds her membership in the National Military Spouse Network (NMSN) invaluable for creating strong and lasting connections with other military spouse entrepreneurs. A fervent believer in giving back, St. Clair recently shared her story with the Professional Administrative Leaders Club, comprised of students pursuing careers in office administration, medical office administration or other business related curriculums, at the local community college. Paper Chaser helps busy small business owners who are finding it challenging to be in the front office, the back office and outside the office by handling a variety of back office tasks to free up clients to spend more time in the part of the business they are most passionate about.

In 2013, Administrative Professionals Week is celebrated April 21-27 and Administrative Professionals Day on Wednesday, April 24.
