Aynalem Workneh Inducted to Women's Chamber of Commerce of Nevada Hall of Fame

LAS VEGAS - April 11, 2013 - PRLog -- Las Vegas ­- Aynalem Workneh, a civic-minded businesswoman, was inducted into the Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Nevada Hall of Fame. The chamber made the announcement at its 8th Annual Women’s Hall of Fame and fifth annual Pioneer Award luncheon held at the Monte Carlo Resort & Casino. The event honored women who were finalists and recipients of an Athena Award given for dedication to giving back to the southern Nevada community.

An American immigrant from Addis Ababa Ethiopia, Workneh hopes her story inspires others with a similar background to strive to build a business and serve their local community.

“If I can do it so can you. Turn adversity into advantage, fall in love with your dream again, and never ever give up on what you desire out of life. Hope is the foundation of new beginnings,” said Workneh, Founder of Hollywood Hair and Beauty Supply.

Active in the southern Nevada community, Workneh is the founder and current President of Angels of Las Vegas (AOLV), a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization that focuses on helping children and adults who are battling cancer, as well as showing support to families in need. AOLV provides several programs that include professional support, networking groups, financial support and more. Workneh also lends her time and support to other local, national, and international charitable organizations.
