It was very rewarding for us to see our interpretation of Smart Financial Credit Union’s brand identity brought to life with our custom graphics and merchandise,” SFCU has 16 branches and access to 90 ATMs throughout Houston. The success of the retail treatment at the North Loop branch is now the template for future branch environments and existing network refresh. According to Nova’s Creative Director, Linda Getz, “We arrange color and imagery to tell a unique story that reveals a personality behind the organization. Effective graphic communication in a space invites members to connect emotionally to the brand, and integrate it as a story of their own. Now that we’ve established the story and the signature features that anchor it, we can carry this playbook of elements forward into other locations to ensure continuity. With the strength of this imprint of identity, the SFCU brand will become recognizable and familiar to members regardless of which space they enter.” SFCU understands that a compelling brand presence does more than just resonate with members. It also assists in building relationships between employees and the public. Nova identified the essence of SFCU’s culture and mission and designed a comprehensive program. A palette of environmental graphics, drive-up treatments, and signature walls capture the spirit of the Houston area and include special tributes to the Houston ISD Hattie Mae White Educational Support Center and the area Boy Scouts of America building. "I was very impressed with how they truly captured the spirit of the Smart Financial brand while creating an atmosphere that was fresh, innovative and different than anything we have done in one if our branches before. The entire team at Nova was fantastic to work with - from concept, to design, to installation," Under the direction of Donna Anderson, Facility Director for SFCU, Nova managed the quick, three-day installation of the branding campaign to meet the scheduled opening date. “The branch looks bright and cheerful,” Donna remarked. “The marketing is fantastic, colorful and creates a wonderful message to the members. I love all the color and it makes you really look at the interior of the branch.
