April 15, 2013 - PRLog -- A lot of people are being told a certain message that strong cheekbones are one of the solutions to aging process. Those persons who have them actually age well. Harper’s Bazaar April issue has made an article with respect for the cheekbones but it pointed out that those cheekbones lose its volume and needs to have a boost sooner or later which is a sad fact.

The moment cheekbones lose its volume, chances are, skin and muscles start to slide which forms jowls and folds. Recently, boosting up the cheeks has become a popular topic on anti-aging solution. A certain physician from New York actually thinks that having surgery to the cheeks is the main solution. He says that with building cheeks, "You diminish the nasolabial folds, decrease the downturn of the mouth and reduce the hollow of the eye without touching any of those areas."

“You can build up the cheeks with injectable fillers like Restylane and Perlane,” the physician continued. “These last for about six months to a year. The filler can be injected beneath the muscles and there is virtually no downtime, just minor swelling. The cost ranges from $1,000 to $3,000, depending on how much filler your doctor injects.”

But alternatively, you can still build your cheeks this time permanently with the use of implants that these days can be customized. This will be based on a computer imaging that’s able to scan a person’s skeleton to make implants that’s fitting for him. The implants are then placed through incisions that are made inside the mouth just beneath the muscles which does not cause scarring. The recovery will take about two weeks. Implants that can be ordered can add up about $5, 000 not including your bill.

Another expert says that “Fat transfer is yet another option, which uses fat from your own body and is then re-injected into the face. It is usually longer lasting than fillers and less invasive than cheek implant surgery. Added bonus is that you can liposuction a "fat rich" area like your hips, abdomen or thighs to procure it.”

“You can do every procedure that’s available,” says Dr. Seify from http://www.newportplastic.com/. “The bottomline is that you know your plastic surgeon enough to trust him and undergo such things.”

Regardless of your choice, may it be fillers, implants or any other possible method; the results will only be as good as the doctor who will do your procedure. Just make sure you your surgeon is a board certified one and he is good in his chosen specialty.
