Dennis Cherney of Entech Computer Services Passes Microsoft Exam, Promoted to Senior Engineer

FORT MYERS, Fla. - April 25, 2013 - PRLog -- Entech Computer Services announces Dennis Cherney has been promoted to Senior Systems Engineer. Cherney received this promotion after passing the latest Microsoft certification exam: Microsoft 70-410, Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012.

Previous to his current promotion, Dennis served for one year as a Systems Engineer for Entech. In this position, he was responsible for troubleshooting Tier I, II & III service tickets. This included handling issues around server based applications and operating systems, server-workstation interaction, LAN/WAN connectivity issues, VPN connectivity, backup issues, and email issues.

As a Senior Systems Engineer, Dennis is now responsible for resolving escalated service issues, coaching other engineers to resolutions, engineering and implementing complex projects, and maintaining and overseeing the technology of his assigned accounts.

“This role is a key position within our service department and he will be called upon to resolve the highest level technical issues,” adds Spanberger. “Dennis is the fastest engineer in Entech Computer Services history to be promoted from Systems Engineer to Senior Systems Engineer.”

The exam that Cherney recently passed is a brand new offering for Microsoft’s Server 2012 Operating System. Passing this exam designates an engineer as an MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional). Because this exam is so new, it is uncommon for an engineer in the Southwest Florida area to possess this level of certification. By passing this exam, it further proves that Entech continues to be fully-capable and trained to work on, install, and configure the newest and state-of-the-art server products. In addition, it strengthens Entech’s partnership with Microsoft.

This certification is part of Entech’s ongoing training and certification path for all engineers.
