PRLog -- SoundOfMotion Technologies Inc. launches a campaign on
crowd funding sites Indiegogo.com and
Kickstarter.com pledging to the cyclists' community for a help accelerating the manufacturing of its new
VeloComputer™
1-Degree Precision Bluetooth Smart Sensor RIDER version for road, track and mountain biking. The new sensor uses
Bluetooth 4.0 (low energy) technology and is compatible with iPhone 4S & 5, iPod Touch 5 and selected Android phones. SoundOfMotion's innovative wheel sensing technology is
360 times more accurate than any cycling computer on the market. The
VeloComputer™ wheel sensor detects a magnetic field from a magnet attached to a spoke and determines forward or reverse angle of a wheel motion with
1-Degree Precision. This accuracy reduces speed latency from
7 seconds in traditional bicycle computers to less than
1 second. The sensor measures distance with unprecedented
1/2 inch (
1 cm ) precision as well as spot speed, acceleration and cadence. It is powered by a standard coin cell battery lasting over
200 hours. “The new
VeloComputer™ Bluetooth Smart Sensor is a product of
5 years of R&D,” said founder Vlad Savchenko. “If there is a wheel, we can measure its motion to
1° precision.”
