About the Author: David Manss is the pen name of Amado Mansilla del Valle, a Chilean poet and teacher of English as a foreign language in Osorno, a southern city in Chile. He also paints and translates cultural themes. Professor Mansilla wrote this book as a literary heirloom for his son, Cristian. “The name David is taken after the Hebrew equivalent of Amado, my first name. That´s why my book and my pen name take ‘David.’ The other reason is my close feeling to the Hebrew culture as a way to look at life, in its deeds and hopes.”
