4th Annual Women In Green Forum To Showcase Innovation and Leadership In the Environmental Arena

The 2013 Women In Green - West Coast Forum will highlight women's leadership across the environmental industry and provide insightful approaches and innovative ideas to solving today's environmental challenges.
 
SANTA MONICA, Calif. - May 22, 2013 - PRLog -- The 4th Annual Women In Green - West Coast Forum, scheduled for August 28th at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel, will draw an international audience of career professionals and entrepreneurs to showcase leading designs and innovation in the environmental arena.

The Women In Green Forum has emerged as the premier professional conference series focused on highlighting and promoting women’s leadership across the environmental arena.  Each year, the Forum creates a venue for sustainability professionals to develop the skills necessary for professional success and engage in networking opportunities that allow attendees to support each other in their career endeavors.

In its fourth year, the Forum Community has grown to include a number of high-level executives and representatives from leading companies such as Microsoft, Subaru, Wal-Mart, Yahoo!, and many more. The Forum also highlights participation from local regulatory agencies such as the South Coast Air Quality Management District and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

The 2013 West Coast Forum theme, “Driving Leadership Through Innovation,” will explore exciting new approaches and innovative ideas to solving today’s environmental challenges. Through a series of spotlight presentations, panel sessions, and skills building workshops, the Forum will providing attendees with the most up-to-date information and innovations in the environmental arena as well as showcase women leaders in the field. Featured general session speakers include Jennifer Lucchesi, Executive Officer for the California State Lands Commission and Michellene DeBonis, Co-Founder of The Brand Studio at United Talent Agency.

As a part of the Forum’s environmental commitment, event producers Three Squares Inc., will work to ensure compliance with the international sustainable event management standard ISO20121. Popularized by its release prior to the 2012 Olympics, ISO 20121 requires that event organizers identify and understand the effects that their activities have on the environment, on society and on the economy and assures that they have a system in place to enable optimal sustainability performance outcomes.
