June 1, 2013 - PRLog -- MOORE, Okla., BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., NASHVILLE, Tenn., and NEW YORK -- Oklahoma star of Contemporary Christian music Tobi Gordon joins the clean up efforts in Oklahoma as 13,000 homes are destroyed, 24 people die in the city of Moore, Oklahoma, while Oklahoma is literally crushed into the ground, with death, destruction and damage everywhere.  In the midst of all of this is the music of one of America’s most beloved singing stars, Tobi Gordon.  Ms. Gordon was featured along with Toby Keith in a special CDX release of Nashville’s top stars in 2013 and is currently nominated as the Female Vocalist Of The Year by international radio stations.  Her worldwide album project “Let’s Sing America” has brought comfort and help to the victims of this terrible tragedy.

Elected as “New Artist Of The  Year” by the New Music Weekly pop magazine out of Los Angeles for 2013, Ms. Gordon works for the hearing impaired and teaches in Oklahoma.  She also devotes the majority of her time, music and energy to a special children’s charity Cavett’s Kids and helps to send about 200 children to summer camp each year.  Gordon has appeared on the covers of many prestigious music magazines including the Country Entertainment Magazine, New Music Weekly and others.  Gordon has had a song in the national charts for four years in a row and hasn’t missed a week in the national charts including Christmas week for the past 208 weeks  For several years in a row Ms. Gordon has been invited to perform at huge gatherings for the stars of Nashville and she has chosen to spend that time with the children of her charity.

Now, she is spending her time helping to clean up the damages in Oklahoma.  Tobi Gordon and her parents are all too familiar with the devastating losses that these tornadoes can bring to a family.  Just take a look at the pictures of her parents home which was completely destroyed down to the very foundations just a couple of years ago.   During the most difficult days of the destruction, Ms. Gordon faced giving up her music career due to the financial losses and the heavy toll the storms took on her family.

Instead of giving up they made God a promise to rebuild their lives and particularly the music that meant so much to them while they were facing these tragedies.  The album “Let’s Sing  America” featured Ms. Gordon singing a duet with Bill Gaither alumnus Stephen Hill entitled “Silver & Gold.”  The song which is a subject of a forthcoming movie and video brought special meaning to the lives of so many.  Stephen Hill who was one of Nashville’s most beloved gospel singers had died while singing in a church in North Carolina at an early age.  Mr. Hill sang backgrounds for Tobi Gordon’s incredible prestigious award winning album that she recorded in Nashville.

The song “The Eagle” written by Gordon Alan Brown was the first #1 song from the album and that song catapulted Ms. Gordon to fame.  She was elected the “New Artist Of The Year” for the New Music Weekly magazine for 2013-2014.  Shortly thereafter, she was nominated by the Academy Of International Recording Artists in six categories for music artists in the country music category.  Ms. Gordon faces stiff competition from Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert and other major stars.  Her position as a Contemporary Christian star results in the fan loyalty of the Catholic church who recognized Ms. Gordon’s video “Grandma’s Love Recipe” as one of the first videos ever to go viral in Vatican city.

Other churches soon followed the advisers to the Pope in endorsing Ms. Gordon’s stance on prominent issues that Christian artists are dealing with internationally.  The Southern Baptists, Nazarene and Methodist churches have all endorsed the music of “Let’s Sing America” which features the patriotic stands of one of the great music artists of our time.  Further information on the career of Tobi Gordon can be found at the following web sites
