Scooters Pizza gets the ovens heated up in Fairlands

JOHANNESBURG - June 13, 2013 - PRLog -- Pizza lovers in Fairlands now have reason to chase away the winter chill and welcome in the warm aromas of their favourite meal, as Scooters Pizza has recently opened a store in the area. Mokakole Mapetla is the proud new owner of Scooters Pizza Fairlands and he is certainly looking forward to serving the community mouth-watering-wanting-more pizzas, outstanding service, and naturally, a slice of the good life.

“My team and I can’t wait to get the ovens going and we are all looking forward to becoming the fast food of choice within Fairlands,” says Mapetla.

Prior to opening up his own Scooters Pizza store, Mapetla worked as a dental therapist for ten years, which he says will serve in good stead when it comes to looking after his customers. Mapetla has always wanted to go into his own business and decided that a food franchise would be the way to go.

“It was a lengthy decision process because I wanted to make sure that I was getting involved in the right industry. I made a list of all pizza brands available in South Africa according to national footprint, investment amount required, and of course, the taste of a final product, and Scooters Pizza came out tops for me after ticking all the boxes. I now can proudly call myself a business owner of my own franchise,” he continues.

Mapetla believes that the key elements to running a successful business is the ability to conform and adapt to standardised business operations in order to satisfy customer needs and expectations. He adds that another key factor is willingness to work within a team, as the advantage of a franchised business is that every employee’s role is clearly defined in the operations manual, which makes it easy to identify the strengths and weaknesses of every employee.
