Author From Hawaii pens a Novel about Foster Care

HONOLULU - June 25, 2013 - PRLog -- Yvonne Jayne, M.Ed., a former counselor and behavioral specialist, has taken on the foster care system in her new book:  THE TWILIGHT TSUNAMI.   During her career, she witnessed the struggles of people navigating the foster care system. Her book communicates through the perspectives of children, parents, social workers, and foster parents. She reveals the traumatized social workers turning on each other at work, she shows how many of them are addicted to substances, and the terrors they face daily on their jobs.

This dramatic novel also takes the reader through the trials of child removals, as distraught parents break down, and forlorn children are transported to multiple strange homes. Finally, she reveals the risks well-meaning foster parents encounter, when they enter the mine field of the foster care system, and often wind up mired in legal battles.

Like many artists who move away from the mainstream, Yvonne Jayne is turning to the crowd funding online sites for support. These sites are funded by the global economy of people helping people, and they encourage creative expression and experimentation.
