IRVING, Texas - July 9, 2013 - PRLog -- Lanyon, Inc. (“Lanyon”), the leading provider of SaaS-based software solutions to the travel, transportation and hospitality industries, announces the launch of an aggressive new sales and marketing strategy.  The Company is expanding opportunities for its customers within the Lanyon Total Hospitality Marketplace, the world’s largest community of hospitality suppliers and organizational buyers.  By October 2013, Lanyon plans to quadruple the size of its Field Sales team with a commitment to marketplace expansion both domestically and internationally.  Included in this strategy is the appointment of Scott Andriano as the Senior Vice President of Global Sales.

"We are at the cusp of a new era for Lanyon as we focus on building the relationships and processes that will take Lanyon and the Total Hospitality Marketplace to the next level.  Scott’s extensive experience with growth strategy and acquisitions will be invaluable to both our immediate and long-term growth targets,” says Todd Tyler, President and CEO of Lanyon.

In his new role, Andriano will lead Lanyon’s global sales effort, with a concentration on building highly evolved customer engagement strategies and processes to support Lanyon’s current market leadership position and growth potential.  His extensive experience in selling to the Global 1000 will be key to deepening and expanding the reach of the Company.

Andriano brings 12 years of SaaS Executive leadership experience to Lanyon, having most recently served as the Vice President WW Field Operations of SumTotal Systems.  Prior to SumTotal, Andriano took GeoLearning, Inc. revenue from $1M to over $40M while serving as the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing.

“With each new addition to the Total Hospitality Marketplace, the spend management and marketing opportunities we deliver to our customers increases dramatically.  Lanyon is already well positioned as a leader in the market, delivering unmatched benefits to buyers and suppliers, and I’m excited to have been selected to help lead the new sales organization through this expansion and beyond,” says Andriano.

Lanyon also plans an increased investment in account management and customer service to accompany activities generated by the more robust sales and marketing efforts. The Company’s commitment to client satisfaction and experience will remain core to its strategy, long-term.
