iparallex llc Founder Rachel V. Kemp to assume role of Managing Principal

BOSTON - July 9, 2013 - PRLog -- Rachel V. Kemp of Dorchester, MA will assume the role of Managing Principal of iparallex llc, a privately-held company specializing in transforming distressed corporate assets into high-impact, high-profit companies. Previously, she served the firm as its Managing Director.
In this expanded role, she will have responsibility for the overall direction and growth of the firm as well as additional responsibilities in the area of business development. She will work closely with newly-named Managing Director Dennis McCarron, who will assume some of the day-to-day activities of the firm that Ms. Kemp previously handled. The management team will also work closely with the company’s Board of Directors in shaping and guiding the firm through its planned expansion.
Ms. Kemp, who served as Assistant Secretary of Economic Affairs in the Weld-Cellucci Administration, is viewed as leading authority on helping distressed businesses with turnaround strategies. During her time in government, she played a key role in helping the administration evaluate the sustainability of businesses who sought state assistance with funding, and was responsible for monitoring the Commonwealth’s fiduciary interests.

Ms. Kemp has both domestic and international business experience, with a resume that includes work in the United States as well as Chile, Peru and the Dominican Republic. She Kemp earned her undergraduate degree at Harvard College, and a Masters in Public Policy at Harvard University, Kennedy School of Government. She is a Boston resident, a cellist, an avid landscaper and a member of the Museum of the National Center for African American Artists board.
