Netcong Auto Restorations Completes Custom 1977 Pontiac Trans Am Smokey & The Bandit Recreation

NETCONG, N.J. - July 18, 2013 - PRLog -- The goal of this 1978 Firebird Make Over was to build a super high-performance Trans Am, and turn it into a 1977 Special Edition Trans Am that was in the classic movie Smokey and the Bandit starring Burt Reynolds.

This 1978 Trans Am was the customers original high school car that he kept for years. He came to Netcong Auto Restorations (NAR) with a vision of transforming his 1978 into a 1977 Tran AM muscle machine with retro styling. When the job rolled into Netcong Auto Restorations shop they immediately knew this was a special project.

EXTERIOR MODIFICATIONS:

The 1978 makeover project included Dupont Chromabase clear coat in BMW Jet Black. NAR fabricated a mini tub to accommodate the much larger wheels and tires.
