By: International Academy of Music Arts and Sciences Chubby himself is nominated for Favorite Retro Artist of the Year. An award that is given to an artist who has had a prestigious and continued career. This years awards show will bring some of the best talent from years of ole to our bright and upcoming artists. Performers set to perform this years are: Lynn Anderson, Dino Kartsonakis, Stella Parton, Terri Gibbs, The Dixie Melody Boys, David L Cook, American Idol Dylan Arms, Betty Jean Robinson, The Famed Eddie Mabry Dancers and Marc Eckel of the Splat Experience. The show will be carried by The Public Broadcasting System in conjunction with Sky Angel and WATC Television. Recording star, David L Cook who serves as the executive president of the Artists Music Guild is quoted as saying, "I am thrilled to have my friend Chubby Checker hosting our show this year. He is always full of energy and a great person to showcase what the Guild stands for. I am looking forward to a wonderful show and a night to be remembered for years to come!"
