"Five Drops of Estrogen" tops the August bestseller list at Sunbury Press

Sunbury Press has released the bestseller list for the month of August 2013. Nirmal Joshi's memoir "Five Drops of Estrogen" topped the list.

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. - Sept. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- "Five Drops of Estrogen: A man's tribute to womanhood and the undying power of humility, selflessness and sacrifice," Nirmal Joshi's book about the lives of five extraordinary women in his family,  was #1 thanks to author events.  Ernie Marshall's "That Night at Surigao," a recounting of life on a battleship in World War 2, ranked #2 due to author events and advance sales.

Sunbury's year-to-date sales for 2013 are up 17% over 2012. Both eBook and print sales are up 17% over the year-to-date prior.  EBooks continue to grow, but no longer at an explosive pace.  Oddly enough, print-to-inventory sales are up nearly 4x over last year, as genealogy books have seen renewed interest.

John Cressler's "Emeralds of the Alhambra," last month's #5, bumped up to 3rd, thanks to author appearances.

Charles Godfrey's "The Final Charge," returned to the top 10, taking #4, thanks to author activities.

Mike Campbell's "Amelia Earhart - The Truth At Last" moved up a several notches, taking #5 on the list, thanks to continued steady sales to truth-seekers.

"Hour 30," Dr. Brandon Musgrave's medical school memoir, ranked 6th due to author events.

Dennis Herrick's "Winter of the Metal People" slotted at #7 thanks to sales in New Mexico.

The Joe's -- Farrell and Farley -- took the 8th spot with "Keystone Tombstones Civil War" thanks to interest in the Gettysburg 150th anniversary.

Jolene Busher's "Patchtown" returned to the top 10, taking 9th, due to sales at Eckley Miner's Village, where the book is based.

"The Closer," Alan Mindell's baseball novel, took the 10th spot thanks to online sales.
