Follow on Google News | La Granja Restaurants Partner with Project Leadership to Help Area YouthRenowned Peruvian Restaurant, La Granja, Continues to Lend a Hand to Children and Teens in the Community
By: Top of Google Project Leadership continues to put on one event during the spring, summer and fall of each year and has had the pleasure of being sponsored by La Granja and Claudia Bartra for its past three meetings. Although the ages vary of the children and teens at each event, the leaders believe it is important to keep all students together in one group, allowing the younger children to connect to an older peer and having someone to look up to. Held at Sartory Hall in Coral Springs, each two-hour event contains various group exercises and presentations from the students. Project Leadership also brings in outside speakers to encourage and teach crucial life skills to the students, with past speakers being Dara Torres, Olympic swimmer and Dan Daley, Coral Springs City Commissioner. “Project Leadership and Scott Brook do such an amazing job helping young people learn vital life skills and encourage them to continue their education and make a difference in their community,” stated Claudia Bartra of La Granja Restaurants. “It is an honor to team up with this event again and take part in helping the youth in our community.” About La Granja Restaurants La Granja opened their first restaurant in Aruba in 1993, introducing the people of the island to delicious Peruvian-style cuisine. After much success, La Granja was introduced to the people of South Florida, who have welcomed their homemade, healthy Peruvian fare with open arms. La Granja has recently celebrated the opening of their 35th location and has been awarded “Best Peruvian Restaurant of the Year” and “Best Family Style Peruvian Restaurant” by The Restaurant Review Magazine.
