During Billieve weekend, a PODS® container will be completely wrapped in pink and will be placed on O'Laughlin Drive, USA. The inside of the container will feature breast cancer factoids, photos of survivors, prevention facts and an area for breast cancer survivors and their families to sign on. The container will later travel through Upstate New York in the upcoming year for viewing. “We are honored to help build maximum awareness of breast cancer and partner with the Buffalo Bills during Billieve weekend,” said Ken Ude, president of Storage Mobility. “We hope that our pink PODS® container will leave a powerful impact on the public to make a difference and touch the lives of those who survived or know of someone who survived this terrible illness.” Billieve week hosts the following events happening on October 11: § Ceremonial pink lighting of Niagara Falls, 7 p.m. § Hard Rock’s International PINKTOBER living ribbon across the Rainbow Bridge, 7 p.m. Online registration ends at noon on Friday; walk-up registrations at the event begin at 5 pm. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society and Canadian Cancer Society. § Zac Brown Tribute Band performs a free concert at 8:30 p.m. on O’Laughlin Drive, Downtown Niagara Falls, USA. Registration for your spot in the living ribbon is $30 and includes a commemorative pink pashmina shawl. All participants must present a passport or enhanced drivers’ license. One out of eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, according to the American Cancer Society. The Billieve campaign was designed as an awareness program to support lives through early detection and to ultimately end breast cancer forever.
