MORRISTOWN, Tenn. - Oct. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- Santa Claus is coming to town. The author of the increasingly popular series called the Santa Claus Trilogy will be making a local appearance at the Mountain Makins Festival on October 26th and 27th.

Joe Moore as he is more officially known, has written and published two novels in the trilogy with the third to be released this coming January. He not only writes about Santa Claus and the North Pole, but he spends the last two months of the year portraying Santa all over East Tennessee in his custom made suits as he will in this event. Moore is an expert in all things Santa Claus and does interviews as Santa discussing events in the North Pole and hot Christmas toys for kids.

The annual Mountain Makins Festival is a delightful way to spend an autumn weekend and has received major recognition from the Tennessee Magazine which voted it the Best Festival in East Tennessee, and The Southeast Tourism Society had named it a “Top 20 Event in the Southeast” three separate times. This popular event is the 38th Annual and will be celebrated at Rose Center Saturday, October 26 from 10 – 5 and Sunday, October 27 from 11 – 5, with a special preview reception on Friday, October 25.

A growing attraction to the festival is their Authors Corner, featuring the work of local and regional authors like Moore. Their subjects include mysteries, humor, fantasy, young adult, and nonfiction. Several new authors will be attending the festival this year. Moore will be featuring his first two books and take preorders for his third in the trilogy.

Believe Again, The North Pole Chronicles begins the trilogy by showing how the elves and the North Pole came into being. It actually takes place from the late 18th century and proceeds through the generations and centuries until modern time. It shows how the elves chose Santa Claus and how the various legends came to exist.

Faith, Hope & Reindeer is a present day snapshot of a week in the North Pole where several families that are struggling to do good have lost their faith and hope from the problems of their lives. They receive an all-expense paid vacation but they don't know their final destination. They end up in the North Pole where Santa and the village restore their faith and hope and they learn that miracles still exist. This book is currently being planned as a major motion picture scheduled for Christmas, 2015 release.

Moore will be selling and autographing his works, which make the perfect holiday present as they will put the meanest Scrooge into a joyful Christmas spirit.

Moore is one of the authors inducted into the Authors Guild of Tennessee and said that he will be appearing with one of his fellow authors from the Guild, Dr. Lin Stepp at the show.
