Julie Sevilla named Director of Marketing and Carla Dispalatro named Director of Sales
 
LOS ANGELES - Oct. 15, 2013 - PRLog -- (Avalon, Calif.)—The Santa Catalina Island Company (SCICo), the island’s longest-running and premier resort-service provider, has hired Carla Dispalatro as Director of Sales and Julie Sevilla as Director of Marketing. Both will report to Dave Stevenson, SCICo’s Vice President of Sales, who joined the company in June. The new hires are part of a strategic investment its leadership team to support aggressive growth plans for 2014 and beyond.

Sevilla has over eight years’ experience in marketing in hospitality and for various companies in luxury lifestyle, hospitality, entertainment and sports sectors, including Angels Baseball, Baskin Robbins and T-Mobile. During her tenure as Director of Marketing for Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, Sevilla built marketing and communication strategies that increased the resort’s revenue and website traffic. At SCICo, she will develop cross-marketing strategies for all departments, oversee the successful launch of the company’s new website (launching November 1), public relations and social media communications.

Dispalatro joins the SCICo with more than 10 years’ experience in hospitality and sales management, most recently at the Shorebreak Hotel in Huntington Beach, where she doubled group sales and catering revenues. Carla is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, with a degree in psychology and holds a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification.
