The World’s First Mind Sports Academy Launches in the UK

PLYMOUTH, U.K. - Oct. 17, 2013 - PRLog -- Mind Sports (International), part of the Living it Loving it Ltd. group of companies is delighted to announce the launch of The Mind Sport’s (International) Academy.  The first of its kind, the MSI Academy offers individuals and groups an array of learning and training opportunities, as well as the opportunity to take part and compete in tournaments hosted across the country for a yearly membership fee.

As part of its launch campaign, the MSI Academy is hosting three free-to-attend ‘welcome events’ in order to give the public an opportunity to experience the fun and benefits associated with mind sports including, Scrabble, Chess and Magic: The Gathering.

On the weekend of November 16^th, the MSI Academy will be in Plymouth and Newcastle showcasing the benefits and fun factor of these games, before travelling to Manchester on the weekend of November 23^rd.

Parent company, Mind Sports (International) brand Ambassador, Rachel Riley, feels the Academy is a great avenue for new and existing Mind Sport’s fans, “Mind Sports (International) are providing a great community for mind sports players to meet like-minded people and compete in good spirit for truly rewarding prizes.”

The idea for the Mind Sports (International) Academy came about thanks to the growing global demand for more organised mind sports events and integration programmes with clubs and schools.  The development of the low-cost membership programme gives players and clubs the opportunity to become a part of what will become a worldwide network that participates in structured events and general community engagement.

From January 2014, the Academy will begin its MSI Academy Live! programme, a monthly tournament series that takes place in cities including: Exeter, Middlesbrough, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol, Liverpool, Peterborough, Plymouth, Newcastle, London, Swindon and Manchester.

Over the course of the year the MSI Academy Live! events will distribute over £40,000 in cash and prizes.
