Klein Varble & Associates, P.C. Secures $75,000 Settlement

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Oct. 29, 2013 - PRLog -- Dutchess County, NY – Attorney Michael Varble, from Klein Varble & Associates, P.C. settled on a rear-end auto accident case where he represented a 33-year-old pregnant mother. On the day of the rear-end collision, the pregnant mother went into premature labor, but fortunately with prompt medical attention, the baby was fine. However, the mother suffered two herniated discs, one at C4/5 and one at L4/5, with a disc bulge at C5/6. She also suffered from post traumatic stress disorder as a result of the traumatic incident that placed her unborn infant in danger.

After the accident, the pregnant mother was placed on bed rest for the remainder of her pregnancy, and thankfully the baby was unharmed. The case was pending before the Honorable James Brands in the Supreme Court, Dutchess County in Poughkeepsie, NY. While the firm was scheduled to select a jury on the morning of October 23, 2013, they ended up settling the case with opposing counsel for $75,000; this was the client’s choice. While Attorney Varble believes that it may have been possible to obtain more through going to court, but taking the settlement allowed for the client to avoid trial and to move forward.
