LOS ANGELES - Oct. 31, 2013 - PRLog -- All four tracks were written, performed and produced by the brothers and released on their own Fantastic Heat (http://fantasticheat.com/) imprint. The video for the eponymous lead track, directed by David Clair and filmed in various LA locations, was premiered online by the UK's notoriously hip and discerning CLASH Magazine (http://www.clashmusic.com/videos/premiere-pop-noir-jealousy).

Although still only 25, twins Joe and Luke McGarry are already seasoned veterans of the L.A. music scene, enjoying success and acclaim on a number of fronts.

The McGarry brothers formed Pop Noir while they were still students at the Orange County High School of the Arts and rapidly built a following on the Los Angeles club scene. They've racked up more than 250 performances to date, sharing the stage with the likes ofDoves, The Wombats, Robyn, Iglu & Hartly, Sebastien Tellier and Fitz & The Tantrums, as well as headlining shows in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, London, Manchester and Paris. Pop Noir's debut single, the party anthem "DIY," hit the Top 5 on the SubModern Charts and was featured in numerous TV shows and indie films. The video was voted mtvU Freshman of the Week and spent three months in strong rotation on the channel. Pop Noir's second release, a cover of New Order's "Temptation," debuted at #2 on the SubModern Charts earlier this year.

When not writing, producing and performing their own music, the McGarrys are much in demand for their visual art skills. Operating as The Fantastic Heat Brothers (http://fantasticheatbrothers.com/), they have built up an impressive client list that includes a plethora of music-related entities. While Joehandles all the web and app design, creating everything from high end websites for concert promoters and music PR outfits to interactive games for clients including the California State Lottery and Scholastic Books, Luke has become a fast-rising star in illustration. His distinctive style, which blends a quirky cartoon approach with grotesque caricature, is the signature look that has graced scores of concert posters for FYF, Goldenvoice, Vans House Parties and is a staple of such publications as LA Record and OC Weekly. His illustrations for the likes of Bloomberg Businessweek and the New York Observerrecently earned him a nomination as Illustrator of the Year in the prestigious annualNational Cartoonists Society Reuben Awards.

Festival Supreme, the upcoming comedy extravaganza at the Santa Monica Pier, showcases the unique illustration and design skills of the McGarrys. The festival's look, from posters to animated website (http://festivalsupreme.com/latest/news/), is based entirely around Luke's cartoons and caricatures.

Following in the footsteps of their dad, an award-winning illustrator who designed record sleeves for such new wave luminaries as Joy Division and Slaughter & The Dogs, theMcGarry brothers have designed a number of record sleeves for other bands. They have also created music videos for other artists, most notably Luke's animated video forGuster's "This Is How It Feels To Have A Broken Heart." (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DV3FxhNd4UE) The "Jealousy" sleeve features a distinctive Luke illustration of Pop Noir, inspired by the complex tessellations ofM.C. Escher.
