Comedian Stevie D. Launches ‘The Stevie D. Show’ on Actors Entertainment Channel

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Nov. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- Stand-up comedian Stevie D. is sitting down for his next project.

The self-described “Kentucky white trash,” best known for his popular concert-film DVD “Rockstars of Comedy,” is premiering his new talk show, “The Stevie D. Show,” on the Actors Entertainment channel of the Actors Podcast Network beginning Monday, November 4. A new episode of the half hour-long video podcast will go online at www.actorsentertainment.com each Monday at 12:01 a.m. Pacific time.

Billed as a show featuring Hollywood’s “hell raisers and trail blazers,” The Stevie D. Show includes jokes, jabs and conversation between Stevie and celebrity guests who have overcome adversity to achieve success in their respective fields. The show was inspired by Stevie’s own experience dealing with prostate cancer, a subject about which he has written a book, to be published in 2014.

“I didn’t want this to be just another show about celebrities pitching their latest projects,” Stevie said. “Of course, we’ll talk about show business, but I also want to get into the challenges they’ve had to overcome, and what kept them motivated when they felt like quitting. The show will be inspirational without hitting you over the head.

Stevie’s guest in Episode 1 is actor and comedian Darren Carter, who has appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Comics Unleashed,” “Premium Blend” on Comedy Central, and as a supporting character in the 2005 movie “Be Cool” with John Travolta.
