Follow on Google News | Afrikaans pre-school opening in MidrandKiga Afrikaanse Kleuterskool is a unique Christian based Afrikaans pre-school in Midrand. This brand new school meets the needs of local parents in providing flexible, affordable, high quality daycare. Positioned on the premises of the two churches in Erand Gardens Midrand, the school offers learners the chance to learn through play in a stimulating and nurturing environment. "We are delighted to open Kiga Afrikaanse Kleuterskool. This has been a dream of us for many years. I am proud to say that we have received a positive response and have 12 registrations in hand for 2014. So much work has been done in partnership with the two churches to make this facility a reality” said Tia Bosua Gruenenfelder, principle of the school. The pre-school offers full daycare five days a week and provides a home from home for children between 4 months and 5 years of age. The school has approved plans and the necessary funds to expand the current building and will break ground in January. The new class rooms will provide a safe and friendly place for both learners and parents. Reverent Paula Eksteen-Erasmus commented thatKiga Afrikaanse Kleuterskool will provide children with a safe and stimulating environment, where parents can be sure that their children will be well looked after and cared for. Prospective parents are invited to join their next open day which will be held on 23 November 2013 from 10h00 till13h00. Extra murals will include Kiddi Beat, Play Ball and Starfish swim. “I believe that the school will be a real asset for the Midrand community and will fulfill the demand for Afrikaans education” reverent Peet van den Berg said.
