Naturewalk, Costa Rica continues sustainable development with harvest of tiquisque

JACO, Costa Rica - Nov. 15, 2013 - PRLog -- Naturewalk is a fully masterplanned development of over 1,200 acres located in Turrubares, Costa Rica.

One of the crops is tiquisque. Tiquisque is a form of Taro and the root is a popular food not only in Costa Rica but in many other countries around the world.

The tiquisque has a 7 month planting to harvest growth cycle.

A number of lot owners in the Permalife farm area of Naturewalk 3 have tiquisque growing on their lots. The Naturewalk Farming Company, which plants, manages and harvests the crops throughout Naturewalk, will commence harvesting on Monday the 19th of November 2013.

The harvest is expected to take 3 to 4 weeks in total and the lots will be replanted with tiquisque with the replanting team working behind the harvesting team.

The tiquisque has thrived and is in excellent condition and the Naturewalk Farming Team and Farm Management anticipate an excellent harvest.
