Lafayette Blvd. in South Bend. Additional parking located at the Coveleski Stadium lot, just southwest of the Family Life Center. DETAILS: The community is invited to celebrate the Christmas season with the residents and staff of Hope Ministries’ Family Life Center during the Home for the Holidays open house. While touring the Family Life Center and learning about the lives of Hope residents, guests will enjoy live Christmas music, cookies and cocoa, photos with Mrs. Claus, as well as crafts and activities for kids. This is a free, family-friendly event. Decorated trees and wreaths will also be displayed in honor of the event sponsors: Family Medicine of South Bend, Indiana Trust Company, Wells Fargo, McGladrey, Bethel College, Main Street Coffee House, and Marilyn & Larry Pozgay. Guests can also “come bearing gifts” by collecting items from Hope’s current needs listed at www.hopesb.org. MEDIA OPPORTUNITIES: Upon request any time between December 2nd-7th as Hope staff, residents and volunteers decorate and prepare for the event. Monday, December 2 from 1:30-3:30 pm: Decorating Hope’s Family Life Center for Christmas. Saturday, December 7 from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm: Staff, volunteers and residents of Hope Ministries will be making the final preparations to decorate and set up for the open house. Saturday, December 7 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm: Nearly 500 guests are expected to be visiting the open house throughout this time. Many will be listening to live Christmas music, touring the Family Life Center, making Christmas crafts, getting their picture taken with Mrs. Claus, and much more.
