By: The Broadcasters Club of Florida In accepting the prestigious award Mr. Wilson, of FOX, Channel 13 in Tampa, will be the keynote speaker at the Club's Friday December 13 luncheon meeting at the Sara Bay Country Club in Sarasota. “I worked with John Wilson every day for five years when I was the Sarasota Bureau Chief for Fox News,” said Ray Collins, President of the BCF. “I've never learned more from an anchor. His approach to the news and his delivery is exceptional” Mr. Wilson joined the FOX News 13 team in 1993. He was born in the coal-mining town of Big Stone Gap, Virginia. He studied journalism, English and drama at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. He has anchored primetime newscasts on CBS, NBC, and ABC affiliate stations in Richmond, Norfolk, St. Louis, Charlotte, and St. Petersburg.
