Edward J. Indvik is Awarded the William J. Lee Lifetime Achievement Award

LOS ANGELES - Dec. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- In recognition of 22 years of service and leadership, Edward J. Indvik was the first recipient of the William J. Lee Lifetime Achievement Awardat the Lee & Associates Broker’s summit which was held recently in Las Vegas. The award, which made its debut at the broker summit and will become an annual event, was named after William J. Lee who founded Lee & Associates in 1979. This, along with the Leaders of Lee awards, was created to give recognition to those who have made exceptional contributions to the firm and the industry, as a whole.

         This is only one of many firsts for a well respected industry leader. Throughout his 35 year industry history, Indvik has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a commitment to the real estate industry that is unparalleled. After he became Chairman of the Board in 2005, he was named CEO of Lee & Associates in May 2011, the first to hold this position. He also served as Chairman of Lee Advisory Board and President for Lee Licensing & Operating, LLC. During his time as acting CEO and member of the board, he was instrumental in moving Lee & Associates from a predominately California brokerage house to a national, full-service brokerage firm with 49 offices nationwide, a roster of more than 750 brokers and added services including appraisal and valuation and facilities management.

Rinkov, president and chairman of the board of directors. “His ability to steer our firm in a cohesive way as well as his unwavering commitment to office growth -- particularly in the Midwest and the North and Southeast regions of the U.S -- and broker recruitment set the standard for our next phase of growth.”

         Indvik, 58, who has returned to full time brokerage after Rinkov assumed the role of president and chairman of the board, remains vice chairman of Lee & Associates Investment Services Group in Los Angeles.

         “I am honored to receive this award,” said Indvik. “However, my accomplishments as CEO would not have been possible without the help of many people, including Bill Lee. I thank everyone and I eagerly look forward to what the future has in store for Lee & Associates.”

         In addition to Indvik, the firm honored five other brokers with the 2013 Leaders of Lee award. They include:

·         James Planey, a 39-year veteran in industrial real estate and one of the founders of Lee & Associates Illinois.

·         Craig Hagglund, founding principal of Lee & Associates’ first Northern California office (Pleasanton) in 1993.

·         Trey Fricke, a founder and managing principal of Lee & Associates Dallas/Fort Worth.

·         Todd Launchbaugh, who first joined Lee & Associates in 1989, is the senior vice president of Lee’s Ontario office.

·         T. Richard Bryant, founder and president of Lee & Associates Atlanta.
