CSC Introduces "Bike In A Box" Kit

Dec. 22, 2013 - PRLog -- CSC Motorcycles announced its new Bike In A Box program, which provides a complete CSC-150 motorcycle in kit form.  The complete kit (less paint and fluids) allows the purchaser to assemble a personalized, street legal, fuel efficient CSC-150 motorcycle.

“We’ve had a number of requests since the introduction of our popular California Scooter motorcycles for a bike in kit form,” said Steve Seidner, CSC Motorcycles Chief Executive Officer.  “Our riders enjoy customizing their bikes and doing their own work.  CSC riders don’t see their bikes simply as transportation; they have a personal relationship with their motorcycles.   As lifelong custom bike builders, we understand those feelings,” Seidner continued.   “We’re offering the Bike in the Box motorcycles because we want to meet our customers’ needs.   We think this is a good way to do it.”

The Bike in a Box program provides a complete CSC 150cc motorcycle with all parts except fluids.  The tank and fenders are bare metal so that customers can provide their own custom paint.   The kit requires only standard hand tools for assembly.    Seidner explained that every nut, bolt, wire, washer, and even zip ties are provided with the Bike in a Box kit, along with complete assembly instructions.   The finished motorcycle will meet safety and emissions requirements in all 50 states, and is fully street legal.

The price for the Bike in a Box kit is $2,899, not including freight.   This is an $1,100 discount from the price of CSC Motorcycles’ lowest priced assembled motorcycle, the 150cc CSC Classic.

CSC Motorcycles, a California-based motorcycle design and manufacturing company, has offered modern versions of the classic Mustang motorcycle since 2010.  The original Mustang motorcycles were manufactured in California from 1946 to 1962.
