JLB Creatives Publishing opens submissions January 13, 2014

MOUNT DORA, Fla. - Jan. 18, 2014 - PRLog -- Janet Beasley, founder/CEO of JLB Creatives Publishing, is also author of the popular Hidden Earth Series. She has put together a publishing team of fellow authors who are both traditionally and self published. This team, with over 100 combined years in the industry, has worked for the last three years to create a new kind of publishing company that blends the best features of both these worlds.

With the dawn of self-publishing came a new wave in the publishing industry which, unfortunately, put many traditional publishers in a whirl. But it also flooded the market with books, some of which are missing key elements, such as professional editing, proofreading, and formatting, essential to a literary masterpiece. Beyond basic services, JLB Creatives Publishing offers an array of additional services and products from which you can choose when building your well-rounded image. Self-publishing has opened the door for more defined genres and the evolution of e-books. Ultimately this can be a catch-22 for both the author and the reader. On one hand, authors cannot afford to work for free. On the other hand, readers are leery of new authors in this vast ocean of literacy. JLB Creatives Publishing understands the frustration on both sides. This company offers the credibility of a publisher behind the author while not disrupting the author’s creativity.

JLB Creatives Publishing helps the author create a polished and professional piece of work. Publications include fiction and non-fiction, as well as fully illustrated children’s books. CEO Beasley says, “We take the necessary steps to do it right the first time and seek the author’s approval during the process. Excellent communication is key to the process, and authors’ thoughts are important to the JLBCP team. We do this because every good author deserves a good review, and every reader deserves an interesting story.” Present JLB Creatives Publishing authors have received 4- and 5-star reviews and have been invited to speak at schools, science centers, and international book fairs.

On January 13, 2014 JLB Creatives Publishing opened for submissions.

Submission guidelines are as follows:

JLB Creatives Publishing offers genres for all ages of readers:  true life stories, creative fiction, westerns, non-fiction, fantasy, sci-fi, science "faction," fairy tales, steampunk, romance, books by child authors, and fully illustrated/full-color children's books, as long as the work meets JLBCP's guidelines. They do not accept or consider any work that is obscene or slanderous. Romance authors are asked to keep their “heat level” to a 3 (sensual not erotica) or less. JLBCP encourages authors ranging in age from 8 to 108, but submitting authors who are under 18 require a parent's or legal guardian's signature. A literary agent is not required for submission. Work does not need to be copyrighted; JLB Creatives understands you hold the rights to your work.

Submitted works undergo a thorough application process before a contract is offered. If accepted for further consideration, fees for publication will be presented prior to a final agreement. JLB Creatives Publishing does not accept partial manuscripts; the complete manuscript must be available upon request, or it will be disqualified from consideration. We do not accept simultaneous submissions.
