TV Filming, Personal Appearances Underway for Science Celebrity Geoff NotkinBy: Aerolite Meteorites, LLC Just ten days into the new year, Notkin was interviewed for the popular space and astronomy website UniverseToday.com, where he enlightened readers about his company, Aerolite Meteorites, and his work as one of the world’s foremost meteorite dealers. Then, in mid-January, filming commenced on Season 3 of Notkin’s educational television series, STEM Journals. The new season began with two fast-paced location shoots: at an innovative automotive microfactory in the Arizona desert, and atop a ski slope high in the Colorado Rockies. The new episodes will air in Spring 2014. Next up, Notkin served as emcee for the Arizona SciTech Festival Press Conference and Launch Event, which took place on January 28 at the Arizona Science Center in Phoenix. The event has become a tradition among Arizona's STEM and Innovation community leaders and included a proclamation by the Governor’s Office declaring February as Science and Technology month in Arizona. Just days later, it was on to the Hotel Tucson City Center, where Notkin is making his 16th consecutive appearance as one of the best known meteorite dealers at the annual Tucson Gem Show. The Aerolite Meteorites showroom is located in Suite 323 at the Hotel Tucson City Center, 475 North Granada Avenue, from January 31–February 15, 10 a.m.–6 p.m. daily. Admission is free and open to the public. At the show, Aerolite presents a spectacular display of genuine space rocks for sale, and Notkin is on hand to personally sign and inscribe copies of both of his meteorite books. Also appearing is Steve Arnold, Geoff’s co-host on the hit television series Meteorite Men. New this year, visitors to the Aerolite exhibit will want to purchase a copy of the book The World Came to Tucson, published by Notkin’s award-winning publishing company, Stanegate Press. Written by show veteran Katherine Rambo, packed with beautiful color photography, and featuring an introduction by Geoff Notkin, the book takes readers on a personal journey through the greatest gem and mineral show on earth.
