STUART, Fla. - Feb. 5, 2014 - PRLog -- The serene and peaceful quietness of Memorial Park in Stuart will be shattered this weekend, as hundreds of thundering Harleys and thousands of biker enthusiasts gather to celebrate bikes, music, and culture at the 8th Annual Treasure Coast BikeFest on Sunday, February 9th, 2014.

The event raises funds for Advocates for the Rights of the Challenged (ARC) of Martin County, a regional non-profit committed to supporting children and adults with physical and mental handicaps.

The party is free and open to the public starting at 11 a.m., when a poker run kicks off the festivities. Throughout the day, national and regional musicians will be playing for the crowd, with bike shows and various raffles, events, and vendors planned for the afternoon.

In 2013, BikeFest attracted over 3,000 participants, far more than anticipated. This year the event will be held in a much larger, open area at Memorial Park, and ARC director and event organizer Tracy Howse expects there to be as many as 6,000 people showing up on Sunday.

Treasure Coast Harley has donated a brand-new 2014 Denim Dyna Street Boss, and Ramp-Free Trailers supplied the bike’s trailer as the main raffle prize. Other top sponsors include The Law Offices of Craig Goldenfarb, P.A., which donated $5,000 to ARC to be a part of the BikeFest this weekend, and Wave 92.7.

The Law Offices of Craig Goldenfarb will be on site with a custom-built dart board, offering participants a chance to win prizes with three throws of the dart. The personal injury law firm will also be handing out educational materials and information on the rights of motorcyclists involved in accidents under Florida law.

“I have had many clients over the years who were or had family members who were motorcyclists that were involved in motor vehicle accidents, and what I’ve found is that often, motorcyclists don’t realize that the same rights and protections afforded to motor vehicle drivers are extended to motorcyclists”, said Craig Goldenfarb, a personal injury attorney in West Palm Beach.

Mr. Goldenfarb has authored a short article, available on his website, that explains in more detail the rights and laws that protect Florida’s motorcyclists.

The 8th Annual Treasure Coast BikeFest will be held at Memorial Park on Sunday, February 9th, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
